Pressburg Soirée

Pressburg Soirée presents music from Bratislava and the surrounding region from the period before the First World War. The programme combines operetta, songs and instrumental pieces by composers such as Liszt, Bartók, Strauss, Lehár and Schneider-Trnavský.
The concert reflects the multicultural character of historic Pressburg, where German, Hungarian and Slovak were spoken and different musical traditions met. Expect waltzes, csárdás and polkas performed in all three languages.
The performance takes place in the Mirror Hall of the Primate’s Palace and features musicians and singers in historical costumes inspired by the late Habsburg period.
