Weekend in Bratislava

Day 1 – History, art, and city views

Start at Bratislava Castle for panoramic views and a stroll through the Baroque garden. Continue to St. Martin’s Cathedral before enjoying a relaxed lunch at Zylinder. In the afternoon, join a guided Old Town tour, then visit Mirbach Palace and the Old Town Hall with its tower viewpoint. Finish your evening at Sky Bar Restaurant, where modern cuisine meets unforgettable night views.

Day 2 – Nature, castles, and iconic panoramas

10:00 – 11:30: One-way boat trip to Devín
11:30 – 13:30: Devín Castle
13:30 – 15:00: Lunch near Devín Castle or at the Zoo
15:00 – 19:00: Bratislava Zoo
19:30 – evening: UFO Restaurant

The second day takes you onto the waves of the Danube – the boat trip to Devín offers beautiful views of the city skyline and the surrounding Danube forests. After docking, a short walk along the river leads you to Devín Castle, a symbol of freedom and national history.

After the tour, enjoy lunch near the castle or later at the Zoo. The afternoon belongs to Bratislava Zoo, popular not only with families but also with all animal and nature lovers. End the evening at the iconic UFO Restaurant and Observation Deck on the SNP Bridge, where culinary experience meets one of the best views of the city. As this is a very popular place, we recommend making a reservation in advance.

Practical tips for the boat trip & transport

Boarding for the Devín boat begins 15 minutes before departure; a booking is recommended. The cruise operates only with a minimum of 30 passengers.

Boats depart from the Passenger Port at Fajnor Embankment, with the pontoon number shown on the electronic board above the entrance.

From Devín, taking a taxi (Uber, Bolt, Hopin) to the Zoo is recommended. After the Zoo, bus No. 37 returns to the city centre at the SNP Bridge, from where the UFO Restaurant is a short walk.

Day 3 – Little Carpathians & Pezinok

11:00 – 13:30: Červený Kameň Castle – castle tour and exhibition
13:30 – 15:00: Transfer to Pezinok & lunch at Pezinský Preš Restaurant
15:00 – 16:30: Little Carpathians Museum in Pezinok
16:30 – 17:30: Transfer back to Bratislava
17:30 – 18:00: Walk in Janko Kráľ Park
18:00 – evening: Leberfinger Restaurant – traditional Pressburg cuisine by the Danube

On the third day, head into the Small Carpathians to visit the impressive Červený Kameň Castle, known for its rich history and vast Renaissance cellars. Continue to the wine town of Pezinok for lunch at Pezinský Preš, offering local gastronomy and regional wines. Afterwards, explore the Small Carpathian Museum, focused on viticulture and traditional crafts. Return to Bratislava in the late afternoon for a relaxing walk in Janko Kráľ Park, the oldest public park in Central Europe. End the day at Leberfinger Restaurant, serving classic Bratislava dishes with views of the Danube.

Practical tips for day 3

We recommend taking bus No. 540 from Bratislava, Main Bus Station to the stop Častá, Červený Kameň. The journey takes about 1.5 hours. Buses depart from 6:30 in two‑hour intervals until 12:30; check the current schedule at www.cp.sk.

Castle tours:

• June–September: every full hour from 9:00
• October–April: every two hours from 9:30. The tour lasts about 75 minutes.

From Častá, Červený Kameň, bus No. 555 departs every 2 hours starting at 8:02 toward Pezinok. Get off at Pezinok, Radničné námestie; the museum is a 5‑minute walk. The museum visit takes 60–90 minutes.

From Pezinok, return to Bratislava by buses 555, 540, or 565. If you prefer not to use public transport, consider renting a car or taking a taxi (Uber, Bolt, Hopin).
