Devín Castle

Located at the confluence of the Danube and Morava rivers, near the Slovak-Austrian border, Devín Castle offers spectacular views and a fascinating journey through centuries of history.

The castle’s story reaches back to the time of the Celts and continues through the period of Great Moravia, one of the first Slavic states. Later, the castle was destroyed during the Napoleonic Wars, leaving behind impressive ruins that are now among Bratislava’s most popular viewpoints and photography spots.

Devín Currant Wine Tasting

The Devín area is also known for its traditional currant wine, made from red or black currants. This unique local speciality is characterised by its sweet and slightly tangy flavour and offers a different taste experience from traditional grape wines.

Marianka Pilgrimage Site

The trip can also include a visit to Marianka, the oldest pilgrimage site in the area of the former Kingdom of Hungary. Discover its historic religious buildings, the Calvary route and the legendary spring, which has been associated with healing properties for centuries.
