Excursion of Traditional Folk Majolica
Discover the secrets of traditional Slovak folk majolica and visit a working ceramic workshop. During the tour, you will learn about the entire production process – from raw clay to the finished product – and discover the history and craftsmanship behind Slovak ceramics.
The tour also includes a film about ceramic production available in five languages (Slovak, English, German, Spanish and Russian).
During the visit you will see:
✓ the complete majolica production process from clay to the final product
✓ a pottery wheel demonstration (2 guests from the group can try it themselves)
✓ the painting workshop with demonstrations of glazing and hand painting
✓ expert explanations about the history and production of ceramics
The tour is suitable for individual visitors as well as groups. The recommended duration is approximately 1–1.5 hours. The visit ends in the shop, where you can purchase finished ceramic products.
