Little Carpathian Wine Salon

The Little Carpathian Wine Salon at Modra Manor House is a place to discover the best wines of the Little Carpathian Wine Region. Located in a historic cellar and wine shop, it presents a collection of 100 of the region’s highest-rated wines, selected each year through the prestigious regional Little Carpathian Wine Salon competition.

Visitors can choose from several wine tasting experiences. The popular 90-minute tasting of the 100 best wines from the Little Carpathians allows you to choose wines from the collection and taste them at your own pace. There is also an enomat, a self-service wine dispenser offering a curated selection of 20 regularly changing wines.

For groups, corporate events and private gatherings, guided tastings can be arranged upon request. Trained staff introduce guests to selected wines, share stories about the winemakers and explain the character of the Little Carpathian wine region. Tastings can be tailored according to grape varieties, wine styles or regions and complemented with light refreshments.

Wine Tasting Experiences

100 Best Wines of the Little Carpathians
90 min

Taste wines selected for the Little Carpathian Wine Salon 2025 and compare different styles, grape varieties and terroirs from all 12 districts of the Little Carpathian Wine Region.

The tasting takes place in the historic cellar of Modra Manor House, where you can explore the selection at your own pace. Each glass offers an insight into the character of a particular area and the winemaker’s style. This experience is suitable for individual visitors and couples who want to enjoy wine in an authentic setting without a fixed tasting programme. Trained staff are available to answer questions and offer recommendations.

Guided Small Tasting for Groups
30 min

Taste 5 carefully selected wines from the Little Carpathian Wine Salon 2025 collection. A trained member of staff will introduce the wines and share stories about the winemakers and the unique characteristics of the region’s terroir.

The tasting can be adapted according to grape varieties, wine styles or regions and complemented with light refreshments. It is suitable for private groups, corporate teams and friends.

Guided Large Tasting for Groups
50 min

Taste 10 carefully selected wines from the Little Carpathian Wine Salon 2025 collection. Learn more about the region’s wines, winemakers and distinctive terroir with a trained member of staff.

The tasting can be tailored according to grape varieties, wine styles or regions and complemented with light refreshments. The historic cellar provides an authentic setting for private groups, corporate events and gatherings with friends.
