The Art of Interaction
- Art & Culture
Can art engage not only the mind but the entire body? The Art of Interaction explores the many ways audiences can become active participants in the perception, interpretation, and creation of art. The exhibition presents interactive and participatory works created since the 1960s by leading Slovak, Czech, and Polish artists.
Drawing from the collections of the Bratislava City Gallery and the Gallery of Modern Art in Hradec Králové, the exhibition offers visitors a unique opportunity to experience art through direct engagement. Rather than remaining passive observers, visitors are encouraged to interact with artworks, discover new perspectives, and explore connections between art, movement, perception, and everyday life.
The exhibition creates a space for curiosity, shared experiences, and interdisciplinary learning. Through a diverse selection of installations, objects, and conceptual works, it demonstrates how contemporary art can inspire dialogue and active participation.
Featured artists include Milan Adamčiak, Juraj Bartusz, Anna Daučíková, Petra Feriancová, Alex Mlynárčik, Rudolf Sikora, Jiří Valoch, Teresa Murak, Jarosław Kozłowski, and many others whose works have shaped the development of participatory and experimental art in Central Europe.
The Art of Interaction offers visitors of all ages an inspiring gallery experience in the historic setting of Pálffy Palace in Bratislava.
