A creative cultural center in Bratislava offering interactive art experiences designed especially for children.
Interactive Art for Young Visitors
Bibiana, the International House of Art for Children, is a cultural institution focused on developing artistic creativity among children and young people. It presents temporary exhibitions rather than a permanent collection, often created by local designers and built around illustration, storytelling, puppetry, and sensory exploration. Many exhibitions are hands‑on, encouraging children to engage directly with artistic concepts through play, movement, and imagination. Its programs are supported by professional artists, scenographers, writers, musicians, and students from Slovak art academies.

A Hub for Illustration, Festivals & Creative Programs
Founded in 1987 as a partner to the Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava (BIB), Bibiana has grown into a respected European center for children’s art. It organizes major international events, including the Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava, the Biennial of Animation Bratislava, and festivals dedicated to alternative and puppet theatre. Its exhibitions are designed for re‑installation in other institutions, allowing Bibiana to act as a methodological center for children’s art education. Located on Panská Street near St. Martin’s Cathedral, it attracts visitors from around the world who come to explore its creative workshops, performances, and interactive displays.
