A striking Baroque landmark dedicated to the Holy Trinity. Known locally as “Trojička”, this Baroque church on Župné Square is one of Bratislava’s most elegant historic landmarks — easily recognisable by its twin towers and concave façade.

A Jewel of Bratislava’s Baroque Era

Built in the early 18th century for the Trinitarian Order, the church reflects the vibrant Baroque style popular in Central Europe at the time.
Its façade features dynamic curves, ornamental pilasters and statues that tell the story of the order’s mission — including its dedication to charity, mercy and the protection of Christian captives.

Inside, visitors will find a beautifully decorated nave with stucco ornamentation, side chapels and an atmosphere that feels surprisingly calm despite the church’s central location.

What to See & Experience

  • Twin-tower Baroque façade that dominates Župné Square

  • Rich interior decoration, including altars, stucco details and religious artwork

  • Historical connection to the Trinitarian Order, known for their charitable mission

  • Peaceful interior, ideal for a moment of quiet in the city centre

💡 Fun fact: Even though locals call it “Trojička” (the little Trinity), the church is officially dedicated to two saints — St John of Matha and St Felix of Valois, founders of the Trinitarian Order.
