Kaštieľ Modra

In the heart of historic Modra, at the foothills of the Little Carpathians, stands Modra Manor House, an important national cultural monument combining a rich history with a lively cultural scene. The building dates back to the 17th century and has undergone several renovations throughout its history. At the beginning of the 20th century, its last aristocratic owner, Arthur Polzer, had the manor rebuilt as a representative hunting residence and complemented the grounds with an ornamental garden.

Following an extensive renovation, Modra Manor House reopened to the public as a cultural and social centre of the region. Visitors can admire its carefully restored historic interiors, stroll through the renovated garden or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings where architecture, history and nature come together.

Throughout the year, the manor hosts a variety of concerts, exhibitions, theatre performances, open-air cinema screenings, festivals and creative events.

The complex is also home to the Little Carpathian Wine Salon, where visitors can taste a selection of some of the best wines from the Little Carpathian Wine Region and learn more about the winemaking tradition that has been an integral part of Modra for centuries.
