A journey through Slovakia’s nature, fossils, minerals and biodiversity. The Natural History Museum in Bratislava is a family-friendly, curiosity-driven museum dedicated to Slovakia’s nature — from ancient fossils and glittering minerals to wildlife, ecosystems and geological history. Located on the Danube embankment.

A Museum of Nature, Past and Present

The museum presents Slovakia’s rich natural heritage across several floors of interactive and traditional exhibits. Visitors can explore geological eras, see real prehistoric fossils, learn about the formation of the Carpathians, and discover the incredible diversity of animals and plants that live in Slovakia today.

The museum is part of the Slovak National Museum network, making it one of the major scientific institutions in the country.
