History and Purpose

Founded in the 1980s, Theatre GUnaGU has become one of Slovakia’s most recognisable alternative theatre groups, celebrated for its playful, satirical, and socially reflective style. The ensemble focuses primarily on original Slovak plays, written and performed by local artists, giving the theatre a unique voice within the city’s cultural landscape. Visiting the Theatre
