What to expect

From the UFO you can admire all the iconic landmarks of Bratislava, the castle, St. Martin’s Cathedral and many more, from a perspective you will not find anywhere else. The elevator ride up takes just 45 seconds. At the top there is an open-air observation deck, a bar and a restaurant. Sunset is the most popular time to visit, when the light over the Danube and the Old Town rooftops is at its best.

Getting there

From the Old Town it is just a few minutes walk. The closest landmarks are Hviezdoslav Square and St. Martin’s Cathedral. The bridge is 430 metres long and has a pedestrian lane underneath the road. Parking is available nearby for visitors to the observation tower.

Skywalk

The Skywalk is a seasonal attraction (April to October) for those who want to take the experience a step further. Accompanied by a qualified instructor, you step out onto the windowsill of the observation tower and walk around the full circumference of the dome at a height of 85 metres, with panoramic views of Bratislava all around. Booking in advance is recommended.

Tips

• Come at sunset for the best light, but the city lights after dark are equally impressive
• The observation deck is reached by 30 steps and is not wheelchair accessible; the bar and restaurant areas are accessible
• No booking needed for the observation deck, tickets are purchased at the entrance
