Located in the very heart of Bratislava’s Old Town, Zichy Palace is one of the city’s most important historic cultural venues. Built between 1770–1780, the palace stands on the site of three medieval houses and represents a fine example of Baroque-classical architecture with Louis XVI style elements.
After a major reconstruction completed between 1980–1989, the building was restored to its palace character and transformed into a multifunctional cultural centre. Today, it serves as a vibrant space for exhibitions, concerts, ceremonies and cultural events.
What makes Zichy Palace unique
Zichy Palace is not only a historic landmark, but also an active cultural hub in the centre of Bratislava. It combines:
• art exhibitions and gallery spaces (Staromestská galéria Zichy)
• concerts, lectures and cultural events
• civil ceremonies such as weddings and official celebrations
• open-air summer events in the courtyard
Its location in the absolute centre of the Old Town makes it one of the most accessible and atmospheric cultural venues in the city.
