The tour introduces important landmarks that tell the story of Jewish life in Bratislava, from historic religious sites to memorials dedicated to the Jewish community and the victims of the Holocaust.

Explore Bratislava’s Jewish heritage

During the tour, you will visit:

• Museum of Jewish Culture – located in a historic building and presenting religious and historical artefacts connected with Jewish traditions and life in Slovakia
• Mausoleum of Chatam Sofer – the memorial site of one of the most important Jewish scholars, rabbis and educators of the 19th century
• Holocaust Memorial by Milan Lukáč – a place commemorating the victims of the Holocaust
• The Synagogue on Heydukova Street – the only preserved synagogue in Bratislava that is still used for religious and cultural purposes

The tour also includes a walk through the historic centre of Bratislava and offers insight into the important role the Jewish community played in the city’s history.
